[Spring Shoot Out - 2013]

By POPULAR demand, I have decided to announce a SECOND Spring Shoot Out for you guys! I was so amazed by the interest & felt terrible to limit it to just one day, so here we have a second date. I do also hope to do another later in the Fall as well, so if this one doesn’t pan out, no worries! There were already a few “pre-sale” spots that have been taken for people who had previous inquired about my March date, this means there are ONLY SEVEN spots left for this new date. Below are the official details:

SATURDAY, APRIL 20TH
Chicago, Illinois
On Location Shoot @ 5:00-7:00pm
Dinner/Meet & Greet @ 7:30pm  (Optional)
$75.00 Attendance Fee

This shoot out is open to any and all interested! Chicagoland photographers & anyone willing to travel. IF you would like to book your spot, there is a required $25.00 retainer to be paid in order to lock in a spot. Your spot is not secured until your payment has been received! Being that these spots will go very quickly, be sure to email me directly to save a spot to this awesome event!

Elle - Hi, The spring shoot sounds interesting. Would it be possible to lock in a post processing one on one for a couple of hours after this particular shoot? If I’m going to come through, I’d like to make sure to get both the in field shoot and some post processing in and just stay the entire weekend to do that. Let me know! Thanks Steph!

[Hopeless Wanderer]

I think my absolute favorite part of this shoot is that I had no idea what it even was when I began. It just took form as I went throughout the two hours we shot together. Completely organic & truly something I am proud of. I went into this shoot only knowing one thing – my model. The outfit, location, concept, everything – it was all questionable. I just knew I needed to do something special and personal.  I just needed to find myself doing something that was meant purely for me. It’s funny how sometimes without realizing it, we’re creating these ideas based completely off of recent feelings or experiences we’ve had. I’ve been re-playing “Hopeless Wanderer”by Mumford & Sons countless times in the last few weeks, finding my own personal connection with the song. I constantly find myself off to my own, wandering in my own mind, sometimes getting too far in there. I think these images somewhat help tell that story.

[Transformation Tuesday]

I feel so terribly guilty that I’ve been slacking so much these past few months on my Transformation Tuesdays! I owe you guys so much, so doing this is the least I could do for your constant love & support. Today’s image (although not a Tuesday!) comes to you from my 1:1 Mentor Session I had yesterday afternoon! Such a great time that it was. I truly enjoy the moments where I get to teach others and literally just get to talk about what I love doing the most. This image was shot at about 2:45-3:00pm which was about 1.5 hours before the sun was going to set. It was completely shot with natural light (no reflectors) with the sun coming from behind my subject to her right/my left.

First image is completely SOOC, camera settings listed below! Second image has a few RAW edits done with a quick preset, as well as some tweaks in WB, Contrast, but most importantly, I also went into the HSL and changed the Hues of my Green’s towards the yellow tones & I also added more Orange into my Yellows. From there, the final image is after my own customizations in Photoshop using primarily Curves with a couple layers devoted to Selective Coloring to warm up the image a bit more!

[Noelle - Chicagoland Boudoir Photographer]

Introducing my second boudoir style shoot to date! It’s always so refreshing to play around with this style of photography. It takes a hold of my want to showcase ladies comfortable in their own skin & feeling naturally beautiful. I feel so lucky to be able to give these ladies that glimmer in their eyes & to feel absolutely gorgeous.

Noelle styled her outfits perfectly. They completely showcased her personality! I am super excited to share this small preview from this morning’s shoot. If you’re ever interested in booking your own Boudoir Session, I’ll slowly be taking them on as requested. I really do enjoy them and hope to get more practice!
